Educator standing with group of students

During her 2011 Fulbright Teacher Exchange to South Africa, Dr. Roxie Hentz of Wisconsin reframed her understanding of entrepreneurship education, “My mentor in South Africa said it’s not enough to teach a child how to open a business. We need to teach them how to change the world.”

In 2016, Dr. Hentz founded CEOs of Tomorrow to equip youth with entrepreneurship skills for addressing global issues of importance to them, including tackling climate change, racism, and homelessness. Celebrating five years of impact, Dr. Hentz shared that youth from CEOs of Tomorrow have launched over 100 revenue-generating innovative businesses for social good. She hopes to continue expanding CEOs of Tomorrow’s reach around the world after a successful collaboration between students in Wisconsin and Botswana in July 2021, “I see the power in bringing young people from different cultures and different countries together to learn about entrepreneurship and make global social change.”

Dr. Roxie Hentz is an alum of the 2010-2011 Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Research Program, United States to South Africa.
